Stanislav PLACHÝ
RNDr. Stanislav Plachý was born in 1954 in Dačice; in the period of 1973-1978, he studied and graduated from the Faculty of Science of the Masaryk University of Brno; he passed the viva voce in 1980 after having completed the compulsory military service. In 1983, he defended his theses as a research assistant at the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences. He is a graduate of the CIMA A, 2004 studies. In 2011, he graduated with his Master of Public Administration (MPA) at Masaryk University, Faculty of Law.
Professionally, he focused on the gas industry area, namely underground gas storage. He worked in the gas distribution company Jihomoravské plynárny and the state company Transgas, Prague. Within his profession, he represented Czechoslovakia/Czech Republic in 1989-1997 in the Committee for Gas Production, Treatment and Underground Storaging at the International Gas Union; he was chairman of the Underground Storaging Sub-committee the last three years.
The 1990’s brought about a change in his career, when he was working in marketing and gas trading in the gas distribution company Jihomoravská plynárenská, a.s., or in Teplárny Brno, a.s. He resigned from the office of Board Vice-chairman of JMP, a.s., in 2003. He also acted as spokesman of the JMP.
Since 2004, he works with the Constitutional Court as the Director of Court Administration. In his office, he manages the administrative (nonjudicial) part of the Constitutional Court – economic and managerial department. He is responsible for the organization’s budget (independent chapter of the state budget) and its fulfilment. His work also includes conceptual and methodological activities leading to the development of the operating activities of the Constitutional Court. He acts in the name of the Constitutional Court of the CR in economic, managerial, human resources and operational issues.
Stanislav Plachý speaks English, German and Russian; he has never been a member of any political party, has two children and is divorced.
