Library
The library of the Constitutional Court is a kind of library specialised to state law, constitutional law, international law and in general to european law (communitary and EU law), also reaching the scope of legal theory, legal history and politology.
Aquisition of new books is ruled by following ideas: the library acquieres all the Czech legal publications from all the spheres of law; the library focus mainly on english and german literature (in particular french literature too) when acquiring foreign legal literature within the goal to reach the full representation of basic literatureof state law, constitutional law, international and european law, legal theory and philosophy. All that is not focused just on angloamerican or continental area but on other legal cultures.
The library is primarily considered as a library and study room for Justices and staff of the Constitutional Court, who will enjoy they full user rights. After the reconstruction the library shall be opened to a scholarly public within the limits not endangering providing librarian services to internal users (there will be a limitation levied on external users borrows. A closer cooperation has been established with the Supreme Court Library; both libraries will share their librious system, catalogues and coordinate aquisition and borrows of literatury.
