JUDr. Dagmar Lastovecká

JUDr. Dagmar Lastovecká (*1951) graduated in 1974 from the J. E. Purkyně Law Faculty, where she also received her doctorate of laws in 1981. She was employed at the Czechoslovak State Bank until 1986, at the Co-operative Enterprise Drutis Brno until 1991, then at the Brno branch of Agrobanka in 1991–96. In 1991–94 she was the Chairwoman of the District Privatization Commission in Brno, and in 1991–92 a Deputy of the Federal Assembly and a member of its Constitutional Law and Mandate and Immunity Committees. In 1994–98 she was the Mayor of Brno. In 1998 she was elected to the Senate, was a member, and then Chairwoman, of its Constitutional Law Committee, and a member of its Permanent Commission for the Czech Constitution. On 29 August 2003 President Václav Klaus appointed her a Justice of the Constitutional Court.
